BELGIAN BIBLIOGRAPHY
The Belgian Bibliography is a record of all periodical and non-periodical publications (monographs, journals, brochures, off-line electronic documents, etc.) sent to the Royal Library through legal deposit.
It consists of all publications that were published in Belgium or created by authors who are domiciled in Belgium published abroad. The Bibliography exists since 1875 and is published online since 1998.
How to search the Belgian Bibliography?
There are several ways to access the records in the Belgian Bibliography:
-
1. By consulting the monthly lists published in PDF format since 1998. Each monthly list is divided into different subject groups, providing a clear overview of particular topics.
-
2. Bibliographic records from the Belgian Bibliography are also integrated on a daily basis into the online catalog (OPAC). You can search by thematic category to access all Belgian publications on a particular theme or you can use the advanced search grid to use other search criteria (author, title, publisher, etc.).
-
3. The digitised printed issues can be found in our digital collection BelgicaPeriodicals. It is possible to perform a full-text search on those documents thanks to OCR technology.
